Re: Can't get voltage through relay for heated grips. Help?

JJ, the CB650 has a well known crap charging system so why the hell would would you want to complicate things any further? Buy thicker gloves! It's just for a few weeks out of the year. What can I say, I like my gadgets. And my skinny boney fingers are the coldest part of me while riding. Anyway, I...

Re: CBX 650 E parts?

I presume you have already given the leaking float bowls a good sharp tap with a screwdriver handle to shock a sticky float valve loose and into position? Thanks for your inputs aswell! Will try that, one of the needles is stuck so the spring doesnt work, do you think that can cause this problem?(i...

Mystery part https://imgur.com/a/fTgQWLk This is on the right rear foot peg. It was on there. Whether I put it there previously in error or not I couldn't say bit it appears it could fit under that spring there tho I don't recall ever removing that spring to take it off in the first place. Hi jj, t...

Re: 1st gear only

Hello, did you solve this issue? Hi Steffense, one of the biggest problems that I have as a member of this site is trying to help find a solution to somebody's issue is if they never get back to you. Nobody here can know if any advice they offer has been helpful or not if there is no feedback. If a...

Re: CBX 650 E parts?

Check your floats, pour some gas in a can or bowl. Take floats out of carbs, place them one at a time in the gas. Wait 5 minutes, see if they sink. If one or all sink, they have a hole Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk Good idea but I can see two problems with that. The first is that they will f...

Re: '82 cb650sc project

I have cleaned enough crud off the inside of fenders to make me want to avoid having to clean the same crud off the underside of everything else in that area. A minimal fender mounted to the swingarm seems like a good idea to me. Also giving major thought to changing the frame area under the seat. ...

Re: Having an issue seating the cylinder block.

Hi JJ, carefully heat the alloy casing with a blow lamp, then they should twist out a lot easier. Try to keep the flame on the alloy, it will expand faster than the steel oil valves. Don't heat it so much that you melt the damn thing!

Re: CB650 Spark Splug Problem PLZ HELP

Good news, I was able to seperate the slide from the arm and needle and there was no washer but only a circular horsehoe washer attached to the needle and no grooves to adjust the needle height (non adjustable). The bad news, I destroyed that big philips screw so i need to go get the another metric...

Re: CB650 Spark Splug Problem PLZ HELP

Hi WT, I can't really tell from that picture if there's a washer in there or not, but if there is then it shouldn't be. If your other three needles look ok then that one dented / chipped needle isn't gonna cause your other 3 plugs to foul up. I had one needle that had been damaged and filed sort of ...
