Re: Wire harness repairs

Ok i see, that is not a part of the harness though but if you need to repair that so ok. Try to get the connector that is used originally. I have seen those but cant remember what site that have them. I wonder if anyone else can help in where to get those connectors? :?: If you got more quest...

Re: Wire harness repairs

That dont sound as stock harness at all as the harness is connected to the regulator/rectifier and that is connected to the stator with at least one connector, hmm. Well, my tip is to get rid of all unnecessary connections though as to much of them can cause to much resistance. 8)

Re: Wire harness repairs

Electrical system as a harness is not so difficult to understand though but the more connections the more recistance. There is the silicon rectifier though that i know is connected to the function so you cant start the engine with a gear engaged without having the clutch engaged. A safety fea...

Re: Wire harness repairs

Well anything is repairable but more connections means more resistance and hence voltage drops, so to me the easiest soulutions is in fact to replace it all. But by all means repairing it is also a solution. I can assist with the length and color of all cables if you want to build your...

Re: Wire harness repairs

In that case i think it's better to get another wire harness or if you are up to it make a new one.
To me it dont look good at all as there can be all kind of problem with that wire harness.
Myself i had charging problems and when i replaced my harness the problem was gone.

Re: Blade Fuse Upgrade

Well i must say i cant recall how i did it but yes that lone wire must bransh off to 4 fastons then 1 faston each to the other sides wires. That's is at least how i can recall i did it. I'm not sure without checking but i think mine alredy was 1 to 4. Wich way you connect the wires depends a bit on h...

Re: Blade Fuse Upgrade

As far as i know there is no ground, The black you talk about is the main electrical wire that feed all fuses. I have changed the fusebox myself to accomodate those kind of fuses and i soldered fastons on every wire. So dont change the layout, only solder it so it's like you see it on the old fusebo...

Re: 2 stroke oil in fuel?

Is'nt 2 stroke oil burnt with the combustion? Maybe my question is unanswerable as the boundary between 4 stroke and 2 stroke is to great i suppose. Seems like i need to test this out myself or fix the engine once and for all. I just wonder what baffons that have owned the bike before me that...

Re: 2 stroke oil in fuel?

Hm is it so hard to understand my question in this case?? Or was i not clear enough? Well dont bother to anwer that. As motor oil comes into combustion chamber i just wondered if a small amount of 2 stroke oil in the fuel could stop the motor oil from entering the chamber. Less than 2 % 2 stroke oil...

2 stroke oil in fuel?

As i've noticed that some motoroil is coming into the combustion chamber so i wonder if it's possible to make it less by using some 2 stroke oil in the fuel?

Could this work or is it of no consequence? :?:

Re: charging system

Well my CB 650 would not charge and i changed both rotor and regulator and still it would'nt charge, at the end i was forced to replace the electrical harness and after that no more charging problem.

So by the means check up if you got a faulty electrical harness.

Re: Stator/Brush Wiring Harness

Well one thing is to measure the inner core diameter of those wires. When diameter is measured you must half that measurement to get the radius. The calculation you need to do is- r x r x pi = the area of the wires, r is the radius. Pi is aproxemately 3.14159265359 the sign is π. Hope that he...
