I was going to say that many of them are fully adjustable.

Re: Bike #5, 81 CB650C

Nice find! I was going to ask about the electra glide behind it, but I reread your post and saw that was from the PO's ad.

A common place where these old CB650's will leak is from one of the rubber pucks that cover the hold to the cylinder head bolts. From where is it leaking?

Re: Running rough after new (to me) gas tank

If rust got in the carbs and plugged a jet or two, it will not work itself out. Carbs will have to come off for a thorough cleaning. Give the tank a good cleaning as well while you are at it.

Re: Where can I get my bolts?

I've not known it to be important to change the head bolts. As far as what "paste" to use, OEM Honda gaskets do not need any kind of sealant. I can't speak for other brands. If you want to put something on them, I would use Hondabond sealant. If you use any kind of silicone, you run the ri...

Re: Wiring loom route

It pretty much just goes along the left side of the spine of the frame (unless the Z model is completely different).

Re: Signal Relay

I can't speak for how your new relay should plug, but the original relay only had two places into which to plug. The wiring harness going to the relay had three plugs. The green plug was extra, and it is a ground wire. I'm not sure the reason for it, other than to torment new mechanics.

Re: Where can I get my bolts?

What kind of "paste" are you planning to use? Make sure you do not use RTV or any kind of silicone gasket-maker.

Re: Myers' thread. Removing Carbs

I split this into it's own thread. That way there is no confusion as to what question is being answered. To remove the carbs, I take wooden dowel like a shovel handle or something similar. I will carefully use this to pry the carbs loose from the insulators. When I say carefully, I mean I work my wa...

Re: Fischer FS 01 Forward Control on CB 650 RC08

Hello. At the moment I have other problems with high revs which won't decrease after I pull the clutch. Occurs only with hot a enginge. I will see. Check for air leaks around your carb insulators. Take something like spray brake cleaner and, with the engine idling, spray it on the tubes going from ...

Re: Which CB650 to start with?

Welcome! I would not say that they changed drastically between THOSE years. From 1980 to 1981, the carburetors changed from the mechanical slide PB carbs to the VB44's. Most everything else was the same. There were some differences between the regular models and the "C" models. Then in 198...

Welcome to the forum!

I hate to point this out, but if every one you find is above the going rate, you need to re-evaluate what you consider to be the "going rate."
